Interesting Survey and Tomato Plants

Michael Lawler of 172 Glen Oak sent me an email this morning. He just had his property surveyed.

He found, "the entire cart path to be on my side of the lot line - with the exception of the ROCC covenant for a 10' drainage easement - there is nothing in my property title for allowing GOGC access to my property - what legal right do they assume they have - do they understand that their operations extends onto several adjoining properties? I have already contacted my attorney to address some other issues associated with this."

He said, "Wonder what they'd (GOGC) say if I put my BBQ pit on it - and planted a tomato garden on the tee box LOL"

I offered to buy the tomato plants.

I have lived in the Ransom Oaks area for over fifteen years. I am an avid golfer, and play Glen Oaks at least twice/week. Durning my fifteen years I have walked the course, and have made minor repairs that were caused by vandals. I have replaced pins found floating in the water, fixed divots in the greens, replaced rakes found jammed into the tee boxes, and notified the club house when more serious vandalisim was occuring. I think my watchful eye has been blackened and now must leave those duties to the GLen Oaks Staff. I have never complained when Glen Oak golfers decided to use my trees as a urinal and have driven their carts up on my lawn in order to save a stroke even though they were clearly OB. To the mangagement of Glen Oaks GC, I will move my bi weekly foursome to another track in the area. I know that is only $1200.00/month to you, but if my other concerned neigbors and friends will join me, maybe the forclosure signs will be posted soon.

Shame on you Glen Oaks owners.

I too have done my part for the golf course. I can't count how many golf clubs, club covers, towels, and other equipment I have found and either carried to the nearest tee or green or handed to a golfer to carry back.

A few times I have come up on some "kids" that, it was apparent, were plotting something. I just stood there staring at them until they moved off.

GOGC says they don't want us. I bet most homeowners along the course don't want the golfers. The sword cuts both ways.
